Al Kiddush HaShem

“Here lies my child. Purity of heart.
Very quiet and very respectful.
Satisfied and never demanding.
I’m in very deep sorrow,”

Nachman Kletzky said as he choked up.

"He cried and shrieked during his speech, leading a crowd of thousands of faithful at a Borough Park synagogue in prayer and tears."

"They spoke and chanted in Yiddish, stressing the community’s resilience and unity after what one called an unnatural death."

One blogger noted the date ... 7/11/11

Now the family will have 7 days of Shiva (
is a time for mourners to express their sorrow and offer comfort upon the passing of a loved one) ending with the 17th of Tammuz.

The 17th of Tammuz (when we fast over the breach of the walls of Jerusalem by the besieging ancient Romans (Ist century C.E.) Are we not faced with this same situation in our Holy Yerushalayim?

And the beginning of the 3 weeks leading to the National Calamity of Klal Yisroel on the 9th of Av – Tisha B'Av – when the people didn't listen to G-d and enter Eretz Yisrael ... so we cry every year at this time

Am Yisrael, Take this to Heart,
we are reliving the same challenge, to come together in respect and compassion for one another, to come to Eretz HaKadosh (the beautiful land that HaShem gave to us), to strengthen the Land and gather all our People from all over the world, to be a Holy Nation to HaShem.

Your last point is poignant. If only the Jews in Israel would understand something that's so obvious to us. Israel could so easily be the best country in the world for us Jews. It could be the most beautiful, the most productive, the most generous, etc.

If only the leftists could understand that. If only those liberal-minded worshippers of Gentiles could grasp how they are hindering the glory that could be ours.
